How do I use Tobradex?
Tobradex comes as a liquid suspension that is instilled into your eyes one or two times per day, depending on what your doctor prescribes. Follow your doctor’s instructions carefully. Shake well before each use and avoid getting it in your eyes other than where you are supposed to put it. Do not let any of this medicine get into contact with your skin, as it may cause an allergic reaction. If you miss a dose of Tobradex, instill it as soon as possible and then continue with your regular schedule; do not double up on doses.
What are some common side effects of using Tobradex?
Some potential side effects associated with using this medication include blurred vision, stinging or burning sensation in the eyes upon application, increased redness in the eyes, headache, dizziness or lightheadedness when standing up quickly from a sitting or lying down position (known as orthostatic hypotension), nausea and vomiting ,and rash . Contact your doctor if any of these symptoms persist or become bothersome; discontinue use if they worsen .

In spring I caught a cold, my eye became red, but there was no discomfort, except for aesthetic discomfort, which made me wary. The next day I went to the doctor, the diagnosis was episcleritis. They prescribed me the eye medication “Tobradex”. I used it daily at night. I did not have any discomfort while using it. The first time the most important thing was to get used to squeeze out the right amount of ointment, even though the tube has a handy tip. After application, as if a protective film appears on the eye, but it goes away before morning. A course of 5 days was enough for me to recover. I am satisfied with the drug.

These drops were dropped on the child during the recognized therapy in the postoperative period - after removal of a congenital complicated bilateral cataract. I have had this problem that my eyes occasionally become inflamed when it’s cold. Once I had a bacterial infection of the eye, my eye was red, constantly watery and painful, and I have been having it ever since. Once my doctor prescribed Tobradex to replace my drops, and I started to drop them 3-4 times a day and the redness disappeared quickly. The drops are well tolerated, a little sting right after the drop, but then it goes away. I haven’t had a relapse in a long time, and I think the drops are to my credit. Handy bottle, the drop drops evenly in a drop. The only thing is that they have a shelf life of a month, but, unfortunately, all eye drops have such a shelf life. For the eye drops must be fresh.
