Revatio

Revatio is a prescription medication used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and erectile dysfunction (ED). Revatio contains the active ingredient sildenafil, which belongs to a group of medications called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. Sildenafil works by relaxing the muscles in the lungs and widening the blood vessels, which improves blood flow. It also relaxes muscles in the penis, which increases blood flow and allows for an erection to occur.

Some common side effects associated with Revatio include headache, flushing, nasal congestion, abnormal vision, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
