The recommended dose of Phenergan syrup for adults and children aged 12 years and older is 10-25 mg every four hours as needed. For children 6-12 years old, the recommended dose is 5-15 mg every four hours as needed. Do not take more than 150 mg in a 24-hour period.
To take Phenergan syrup: Shake the bottle well before each use. Measure the correct amount using a medicine cup or oral syringe. If you are taking this medication for motion sickness, take it 30 minutes before you start traveling. To prevent nausea from chemotherapy, take it 1-2 hours before your treatment starts.
