What is Hepcinat?
Hepcinat is an all-oral, interferon-free treatment for chronic hepatitis C (CHC) that contains sofosbuvir and ledipasvir. It is a direct-acting antiviral agent that inhibits HCV NS5A and NS5B polymerases, respectively. The recommended dosage of Hepcinat for adults with CHC genotype 1, 2 or 3 infection without cirrhosis or with compensated cirrhosis is one tablet taken orally once daily with food.
How to take: Take Hepcinat exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully.
The usual dose of sofosbuvir/ledipasvir fixed dose combination therapy for adult patients without cirrhosis who have hepatitis C virus type 1, 2, 3 infection
Genotype 1: One tablet orally once daily taken with food
Genotype 2: One tablet orally once daily taken with food Genotype 3: One tablet orally once daily taken with food
Compensated Cirrhosis : Adult patients should be treated according to the same dosage recommendation but should be monitored closely due to potential drug interactions
Side effects may include headache; tiredness; nausea; diarrhea ; muscle pain ; poor appetite ; rash; itching skin . Contact your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms while taking this medication
