Do not use Elocon if you are allergic to mometasone or any other ingredients in the formulation. Do not use Elocon on areas of broken skin or open wounds. Contact your doctor before using this medication if you have tuberculosis infection of the skin, chickenpox, herpes simplex virus infection of the eye, measles, shingles, vaccinia virus infection (smallpox), or any other type of viral infection..
Use caution when applying Elocon near the eyes; it may cause increased pressure inside the eyes which could lead to vision problems. If vision problems occur while using this product discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately.
