Tibofem contains the active ingredient tibolone, which is a synthetic steroid hormone. It works by mimicking the effects of oestrogen and progesterone in the body, and can help to relieve symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, vaginal dryness and bone thinning (osteoporosis).
Tibofem should only be used if other treatments haven’t worked or aren’t suitable.
